Guest speakers from Crop Walk a walkathon on Sunday October 19,2008 came to speak to Central Ocean Rotary. Registration for the walk will tkae place at 1:30 pm at the Toms River Presbyterian Church on Hooper and Chestnut Street in Toms River. The 5K walk will begin at 2 and will continue throught the neighborhood around the Presbyterian Church. For information contact the guest speakers Pat or Alan. The funds raised from the crop walk are used for emergency food for the hungry, seeds and tools to help folks grow their own crops, sources of clean water, literacy and job training.
25 % of the funds rasied will remain in Ocean County to shelter and feed homeless families throught the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
