Hello from all of us at the Central Ocean Rotary Club of Toms River!
As fall is upon us, our club begins to focus on what it would like to accomplish for the Rotary Year. So many requests have come into our group this year: for money, for help or just for support. We have taken on more events this year such as participating in local walks and attending charity events to show our commitment to the community.
Our meetings have been full of guest speakers. We've had community leaders, experts and charities all come by to keep us informed on important topics or ask for our direct help. One of the neat parts of our meetings is that we all learn something each week. Our website, www.centraloceanrotary.org, has a continually updated list of people who visit us as well as other current happenings in the club.
We are currently working on our annual 50/50 raffle, which draws October 27th at 1PM. If all 150 tickets are sold, we will raise $7,500 for charities that we support all year. Our members are tirelessly selling tickets to members of the community, friends and family to help fund the second half of the year's worth of charitable requests. Interested in a ticket?
