Last month the Central Ocean Rotary Club of Toms River held its annual BugFest at Insectropolis in Toms River. Hundreds of patrons came throughout the day to meet all sorts of critters up close. Highlighting the day were the cockroach races! Kids and their parents bought colored tickets to see which cockroach would cross the finish line first. Owner and Central Ocean Rotary club member Chris Koerner also cooked up some insect delicacies to munch on! The proceeds from the event help fund the club's scholarship program.
